Who is Abi Tripathi?

I’m Abi Tripathi.
Stories have always been central to how I see the world. I breathe stories in different forms through literature, through marketing, and through the wild. Each has shaped the way I think, observe, and understand people and places.
I spent much of my professional life in marketing, building brands and working with narratives for a living. That world taught me clarity, structure, and restraint. It also taught me how easily stories can be exaggerated or diluted.
Alongside that career, my personal life was quietly moving in another direction.
As my bio says, I am married to marketing and flirting with wildlife. Soon this flirting relationship turned in to life long commitment.
What began as time spent outdoors gradually turned into years of moving through forests, wetlands, grasslands, and river corridors across India. The more time I spent there, the clearer it became that this was not a break from my professional life. It was a continuation of it. The skill was the same. Storytelling. Only the setting had changed.
I am also the co-founder of Eagle Safaris, now one of India’s leading wildlife tourism agencies. Through that work, I gained deep, practical experience of designing and operating wildlife journeys across diverse landscapes. Just as importantly, it showed me what is often missing when experiences are built around promises rather than presence.
The journeys I lead today are shaped by that understanding.
I work with small groups by design. The focus is not speed, spectacle, or guarantees, but time, access, and attention. We move slowly, observe carefully, and allow days to unfold as they will. Wildlife may appear. Sometimes it doesn’t. Both outcomes are part of being in a living landscape.
I don’t manufacture moments.
I create the space for them to happen.
People often return with photographs, but what they speak about later is the pace, the quiet, and the feeling of being somewhere that does not exist for human convenience.
That is the work I do now.
That is the experience I offer.
